Café Second Shift was founded to help bridge the gap between high-quality Guatemalan microlot coffees and Canadian roasters.

On our very first trip to origin, it became clear that our purpose was not only to share these exceptional coffees with Canada, but also to honor the farmers and producers behind them. We are committed to paying fair and equitable prices that reflect the hard work, skill, and dedication that goes into every harvest.

Our main goal is to create long-term, sustainable relationships at every level of the process—ensuring value for farmers, transparency for roasters, and quality in every cup.

By doing so, we strive to build lasting connections that celebrate both the craft of the producer and the curiosity of the roaster.
